Want to make sure I get this right!

For those of you who have actually looked at a post discharge credit report.

Normally when you look at a credit report there is 24 months of payment history on each account. On my report there are 24 C's as in current. If I were late the C would be replaced with a 30, 60, 90 etc. showing how late a payment or payments were.

From what I am reading I think I am learning that all this dissapears and now all that is listed is the account with a $0 balance and IIB. But the whole history is gone. Is this correct?

The reason I want to know is if being 60 or 90 days late will never be seen after discharge then I won't throw good money after bad trying to keep current until we file.

My accounts still show my history of payments even after discharge. Maybe some else has a different experience. I don't know. I was late for almost a year and unfortunatley, that still shows on my credit report too

I could be wrong, but I though that they are allowed to report payment status (late, on time, whatever) up until the day of discharge?

When I filed, I was 29 (ill be 30 in February) and have never ever once been late on any payment my whole life, dating back to my first credit card when i was 18. Unfortunately, when I 'stopped paying' per my lawyers advice a few months before I filed, now I have 30-60-90 day late statuses on some of my accounts Ive had 10+ years. I filed in December and was discharged in April. So from December 2008 to April 2009 on my bankrupted accounts, it shows late on my credit report.

Bummer too.. the payment history on those Im sure would've helped my quest to rebuild my credit.

No they are only allowed to report up to the FILING DATE. Not the date of discharge.

I am positive! I am disputing the same thing (Experian is the worst for me). I have posted this link before, but if you look in the case law for the credit reporting section after bankruptcy you will see the relevant cases for it: http://www.myfaircredit.com/forum/

Another problem I am having (and disputing) is the CRA's are putting in a blank field rather than a zero for the balance. The tradeline should read: iib and zero balance. If the field is blank (rather than zero) it will negatively impact your score.
