BofA refuses to IIB on credit report...

I'm in the process of cleaning up my credit report and I noticed a couple of creditors didn't "IIB" on my CR, so I opened up a few disputes. Now it's my understanding that all creditors MUST IIB on the credit report after discharge and all but BofA have changed this....
My question is: BofA is stating "charged off as bad credit and sold to another lender", how do I persue this? I understand that the "charge off will remain on my credit report", but shouldn't this be changed to IIB (even though the charge off was BEFORE I filed)? Experian report came back as "info verified, no change to credit report"....Hmmmm, I'm lost here.

Maybe some of you that have gone though this can help here Thanks a bunch!

It's my understanding that since the charge off occurred before you filed it will stay.

I understand the Charge-Off, but I was under the impression that all accounts had to include "IIB"....

if they transferred it to another agency before you filed their responsibility ends. The account with them no longer existed when you filed so they don't have to list is IIB. If the agency they sold it to lists it on your CR then they have to do so as IIB

Yep the charge-off stays. You can try other disputes on the charge off, like the correct amount, dates, etc...take a look at credit boards dot com for some dispute ideas.
