What's the best place to go for your CR?

Where is the cheapest/best place to monitor your credit report?
    I pulled a baseline freecreditreport.com one, but I guess I'll subscribe to
one for a while also. Which one is best?

Oh, don't pay for it...I found a wonderful thread on how to get all 3 CRs free! Scroll down to "catleg's" response on this thread. I just order all three (they came within 2 days of ordering) and I'm now in the process of disputing items.

Thanks for posting that thread, I found out that all three bureaus will let you in if you go down to the bottom and click on dispute. You can view everything for free that way.

Clever observation... of course I didnt realize this until after I signed up for the monthly fee based service. Then I went to dispute, and a free credit report popped up Guess I will be calling and cancelling my subscription with TransUnion at least.....

You dont get your credit score with those freebies. You have to pay like $7.95 for each score.
I on the other hand monitor my TransUnion account with my credit score thru MyFico for $4.95 a month and its updated every 3 months. Ive had it years ago in the past and its the best ive found.
Do Not get True Credits' service. Oh sure you get all 3 reports with scores for $14.95 but they're never updated. My score for TransUnion was 640 after Bk for almost a year until I found out they never update their service, so I cancelled. AFter going to MyFico my TransUnion is actually 561. Was I shocked to read that. And my Bankruptcy was discharged last Dec. 2008. I cant afford to monitor all 3 so I only do transUnion. That gives me a rough ballpark as to where Im at. I'll pay to get my scores for the other two reports maybe once every 6 months or once a year.

I get 1 of my reports and scores (Experian) for $14.95/mo and you can update it every 24 hours. Its free to refresh your report, as long as you wait 24 hours before doing so each time. It comes with a simulated FICO (fako) score though.

I paid my $40 balance on my Orchard Card, signed into Experian a week later, refreshed my report and the balance was already back to $0. So they are indeed 'live' reports.

Credit Check Total lets you see all three reports, you can order a new report every day for free (after your trial -- during the free trial you can only pull once).

You get a simulated FICO score to watch (or FAKO, if you prefer that term).

It's $19.95 when you sign up. Call to cancel the service during your free trial and tell them you're canceling because it's too expensive and they will make it $9.95 a month.
