    Account not reporting correctly.

I have one account that is refuses to report correctly.

Wells Fargo is still showing a charge off with a balance. I disputed with the credit bureau twice...came back verified twice. I sent a letter to WF saying it needs to be shown as IIB with a zero balance. This is only reporting incorrectly on my EQ report. TU and EX are correct.

I got a call from WF and they said since the CO happened prior the BK, they don't have to list as IIB!!! She said their legal team came up with this???

I told her any history prior to the BK can remain (in this case the CO), but it MUST show a zero balance and it must list included in bankruptcy. She told me they were not going to change it.

I know I'm right and I'm about to send off another letter. Are there any laws that say the accounts need to report a certain way after BK? I would like to reference them in my letter.

I don't have the case in front of me, but Wells has been sued about this (or something similar) before and lost. Try googling the case.

They deserved to be sued so they have to pay your attoney fees and they get sanctioned by the court. This could be your chance to get a little nest egg going. I believe this is called "poisoning credit reports" and is usually used by OC's and CA's to coerse payments.
