IIB-should that be on my auto loans?

    Hi all,

I just pulled my credit reports to verify info and most of it is updated to include my BK. I have a couple of credit card accounts that need to be IIB, but I have a question: I did not reaffirm my auto loans and in my petition my attorney put as my "intent" was to: remain current. On my credit reports, shouldn't my auto loans state IIB or does it matter? I am a little concerned because I want the option of walking away from one of the cars in case anything happens. On all my credit reports, it says, "pays as agreed" and shows a balance.

    Thanks!

Toyota marked my car IIB and closed out my credit file even though I said I was going to keep the car and I'm current... so, yes I believe you would need to get in touch with the credit bureau to have that fixed.

Yes, IIB is, unfortunately, the correct entry for any auto loan that existed prior to your filing BK, even if you keep making the payments after the BK.

The only way around that is to get a new loan after the BK is discharged.
