    hsbc help please

So I am officially discharged 8/24/2009
I have been cleaning up my cr since post 341 meeting well I have run into a snag Hsbc keeps reporting my account with them that was charged off in 2/2007 as a charge off spoke with them and advice them that they needed to include that account as IIB due to me filing the account in my bk, they said that they dont have to since it was listed as a chargeoff prior to my bk ,is this true if not what kind of letter do I send and the credit bureaus keep validating this,I have disputed this at least 3'xs as iib or please validate.. whats my next straw thank you

However it was reporting BEFORE BK is correct. Of course if they were incorrect then you can dispute.

I had the same EXACT problem with Crap One (Capital One). They kept reporting the debt as charged off and I disputed it and it was corrected to IIB, then low and behold later on the same debt showed up as a collection on my credit report which affected my score by 20 pts. I disputed it again and it was removed. Crap One in my opinion is the worst with respect to reporting correctly on your credit report, but just do what I did and keep disputing it until they finally get it right.
Filed Chapter 7 (Primarily Business Expenses) 04/10/2008 FICO 468

Congrats on the discharge!! Way to go!

...they said that they dont have to since it was listed as a chargeoff prior to my bk ,is this true...
If the debt was truly charged off before you filed, then yes, HSBC can continue to report it as charged off, not IIB. No letter or other dispute can change that - they are reporting the truth.
I am not a lawyer and this is not legal advice nor a statement of the law - only a lawyer can provide those.

I had the same problem with HSBC....only creditor to keep listing c/o rather than IIB. I'm just letting it remain since it falls off my report early 2011 anyways.
