Has anyone had problems with Transunion making corrections to your CR?

I've found several mistakes on my report and it seems as if Equifax is being reasonable and I've made corrections that bring my current score up to 632 with them, but Transunion is like pulling teeth. I've been trying to get them to correct some late payments, but they made it worse. I went from a score of 571 to 532 now to 559 with them. I'm attempting to send one final letter to attempt to correct this problem, but realistically how many lenders even look at Transunion? Should I just leave them alone because it's so frustrating!

let me know. I am on the deed for the house but not the original loan. It shows up on MY credit when my lender bought us over!

Over the next few years, you willi encounter all sorts of issues in trying to clean up your credit. Be patient - it is a frustrating process. Two years after our discharge (Chapter 13), one of the CRA's started reporting us as filing a Chapter 7 instead of a Chapter 13 - now how that occurred, your guess is as good as mine because the public informatoin listing showed our Chapter 13 being filed. You need to keep disputing items and if the CRA will not budge, contact the creditor directly, copying the CRA. We had issues with all three CRA's - I believe they all have incompetent entry or data people working for them.

To give you an idea, our 7 year mark passed in April where our BK comes off our records. After we got all our reports (the BK was already removed on all) in June, our creditor/personal statement still remained. I asked all three, via regular mail, to delete it. Two did, Equifax did not but sent me a new report saying all updates were done. I sent them back a copy of our original letter requesting the deletion and they eventually removed it. In fact, the only request/change in our initiali letter was to delete the statement; no other changes were needed.

Just be prepared to run into all sorts of stuff appearing and disappearing and then reappearing again over the next few years. It can be frustrating but eventually you will get it all cleaned up.

Thanks Flamingo, sorry you're encountering the same sorts of issues, but you're right we have to be persistent. I figured the types of errors I'm experiencing are data entry errors and the credit agencies are just swamped right now, but I guess I'll have to keep trying because every point counts.
