Chapter 13 & Credit Reports - After the 7 years is up

The seven year mark as to the filing date of our Chapter 13 passed in mid-April. I waited several weeks to obtain our credit reports thinking I would have another mess to clean up. Lo and behold, anything related to BK is gone except for our consumer statement which I will have removed. In fact, there is nothing to dispute. It's all gone, no negatives on our reports, all postives. To those nearing this mark, wait several weeks after your seven year anniversary of filing your Chapter 13 to get your reports.

Hey Flamingo...what did you have for a consumer statement? Just curious if you don't mind saying. Thanks.

We had about three sentences which briefly stated that we filed due to a 70% drop in income from a job layoff from which we could not recover to avoid filing and we wanted to list that information for anyone searching our reports for credit or employmet purposes. We also listed the percentage of payback to unsecured (54% which ended up at 64% at the end of our plan) and that secured were 100%.

Could you tell me which of the 3 agencies you contacted to put the consumer statement on the report?

Also, what would be a good statement for me? Cause of my troubles began with a 2007 divorce, 90% drop in income because of divorce and the 2007 mortgage crisis.
How long of a story can it be.
