    I hate Chase...

    ...just sayin'...

I figured they'd end the free credit score feature at the WAMU Master Card account site, and they sure did.

They also ended the Awards Program (and are switching it to theirs), it seems like they upped all WAMU folks' accounts .5% interest (ours went from 11.99% to 12.54%) and they have eliminated other things like you state as to the free score. It's all cost cutting as most places are doing but I am miffed at the 1/2% increase as we have been pristine for over two years with our WAMU Visa.

I had to laugh since I ripped my WAMU Crad up a couple of weeks ago after Chase added a $10 a month service charge to my girl friends credit card. She transferred a balance a few years ago for 3.99% for life and they decided they didn't like that anymore. I paid her card off and had her cancel it and now mine has been ripped up (not canceled since I'm reestablishing credit).

I'm counting on losing my WAMU/Chase card when it expires in 2011 but imagine my surprise when they increased my limit from 4000 to 5500 last month. I wasn't expecting that.

My DH has an HSBC card and they decreased his limit from 4000 to 800 which was 150 above his balance without warning us. They claimed that they are doing it for everybody. They also claimed that they sent out a notice to tell us about the reduction in credit limit but we haven't received it. They did try and sell us the credit card protection crap 3 different times while he was on the phone with them. We paid it off and will no longer use it.

My personal opinion is that HSBC is in a lot of trouble and they haven't yet disclosed how bad it is with them. You probably did yourself a favor by getting rid of them!
