    Does your credit score "reset"

    I have been looking through this site gathering info so I can get an idea of what I might expect my credit to do after my ch7 is filed and discharged. With everything I have read I am kind of confused.

    Does your credit score "reset" back to 300 the lowest it can be and you are literally starting over, or does it simply drop by 200 points after the bk?

    I was under the impression that my score would reset to 300 after all was said and done, but after what I have read on here I don't think that's true. People on here say they had a score,for example, of 550 before bk, then a month or so after their score went up instead of down.
    Finally got attorney paid 2/12/09 :clapping:

    Had 341 hearing 3/27/09 with no problems :yahoo:
    Discharged 6/1/09 Closed 6/15/09 :yahoo::clapping:

    Hi Lightmark! I notice you are new and of course asking tons of questions which is great - are you aware of the "stickys" under each forum? Since you are looking into filing Chapter 13 (saw your other posting), go into that forum and read the stickys and same for this forum. They will answer a lot of your questions and can be a big help to you.
