    My FICO is 712?

Is the FICO accurate? I'm one year out of our bk7, I have 3 credit cards totaling $6700, and a Dell card with a $850 balance i'm paying on time monthly. I looked at my Transunion FICO score through WaMu for free with my credit card account with them, and its 712! My wife has a card with them too, and more credit than me, by $2000, and her scrore is 643. She is a homemaker, and hasn't had any balances to make payments on to help. I will start using her card for travel I do for work which gets reimbursed immediately. This should help her credit score right?

Anyways, weather FICO is accurate or not, this is a good update as to where I am after 1 yr. I must also mention I started a new job 5 months ago that got me a 20% raise too. Life does get better guys, so don't sweat it!

Is it a real FICO or FAKO??

In any case, congrats on the good work. I wished mine looked somewhere close like that.

Its the FICO they pulled from my report. Funny thing is, this is higher than before my bk. A few yrs before we filed, I had a 704. Thats all it ever really saw, but I had a lot of cc balances.

If you didn't pull it from myfico or Equifax.com it isn't real.

most likely its is higher because your debt is lower.

funny BK can really raise your credit score as you can see.

BK is not the end of the world anymore. 30 years ago yes you were the worst of the kind now adays everyone and thier mother has issues.

i had a bk in 1997 and due to realestate market crashing i will file again next year.

          Fun times ohh ya

I have a WaMu CC as well and I use the credit score feature.......my actual score was different. Doesn't mean yours isn't accurate though. Just don't get overexcited about a 700+ score unless you can verify that. BTW, Wamu usually has my score a little high sometimes. The last time I checked, WaMu had me scored a little lower.

Still, i was expecting low 600's. Good to see things are working out though. We have a lot of available credit under us after just one year. I'm gonna stop chasing credit offers and just let things cruis along now. I alternate using different credit cards each time I travel for work, so that will make for some good history.

The FICO from Wamu that you get along with your Wamu credit card is called a "Bankcard FICO", which is NOT quite the same as the classic FICO you ge from myfico.com.

The "Bankcard FICO" places most of its weight on how well you handle and pay your credit cards. The classic FICO takes into account all kinds of debt (mtg, auto, student loan, credit cards, etc.).

So, the Bankcard FICO will score you higher than the classic FICO if you pay your credit cards perfectly but have a late payment or two on a mtg or a car loan.

I hope to never have another credit card for as long as I live and if I do...I'll never charge any more than I can pay off at the end of the month. I'm certainly not trying to pick on you or start an arguement but aren't you concerned that the $6700 could get to $12000 or more!

I see some of you have access to your credit scores because of a WAMU credit card. Can I ask how long it took for you to be able to access that feature?
Mine still says it is unavailable, and I've had my card for about 1 month. It says on the site it can take up to 2 billing cycles. Does it really take that long?

                      thanks

I have that feature with my WAMU and yes it takes awhile. At this point, that score is, again, only an indicator & scores a big high...I woulnd't get excited over it.

Not really "excited". Just interested in watching to see how it is improving. Not so much interested if the score is "right on". Just looking for progress along the road to rebuilding.

Can you recall approximately how long it took before you could view your info? I do see the intial score, but no other info is available at this point.

                          thanks

                            Wow, my fico score increased

I just received an email alert telling me my fico score has gone up to 557 on December 2, 2008 I know this score is still low, as for the fact I'm in a Ch 13, but a couple of months ago, it was 545. So, are the scores that I've been getting from myfico.com, pretty accurate?

My score has been going down on the WAMU site even though I pay my credit cards off every month. Don't get too excited.
