Anyone have any luck getting your mortgage company to report your payments after BK?

We are in a Chapt 13 BK. Our mortgage company shows our account as open, with the correct balance, and no late payments, but just has IIB.

We make our payments outside the plan every month, and have NEVER been late once (neither before or during our 13).

Has anyone had any luck getting their mortgage company to start reporting on time payments? I'd really like the boost to my score.

Working on rebuilding. 3 years into a 5 year plan, and my score is 682, DH's is 688. I think our mortgage reporting on time payments would be a big help.

I should call them, but I'm chicken............ I will eventually, just worried they will probably say no, and it will really get me PO'd

PS: our mortgage is with Wells Fargo. It started out with WAMU, and they actually DID report the payments (even after we filed) but Wells Fargo isn't.

There's no consistency whether lenders report on-time payments to the credit bureaus during a 13 or not. It's completely voluntary for lenders to report account status to the three credit agencies, even when the person is not in an active bankruptcy.

You have nothing to lose asking if Wells Fargo will report your payments. Just don't be surprised if they say they won't.
I am not a lawyer and this is not legal advice nor a statement of the law - only a lawyer can provide those.

Well, I called this morning to request that they report on time payments. The woman I spoke with seemed surprised that they weren't reporting them and said she was sending an email to the appropriate department to ask them to do so. We'll see.............I'll keep my fingers crossed anyhow.

She told me to call back in a week or so to verify that they have done so.

I figure it can only help our credit scores!

        Wish me luck!
