After much debating, I decide to give NFCU a call today to see if I could get a credit card. I'm a vet and have been with them forever. They are who I first built my credit up with so I thought I might have a small chance at a card with a low limit.
I started out by asking the woman if they blanket dissapprove people who have bk'd because if they do, I didn't want the hard pull. They don't so I went ahead and applied.
And unbelievably I have been approved for a regular credit card, 14% interest, with a whopping credit limit of 5k (a rewards card with no annual fee). Holy cow. Way more than I need but great for rebuilding. I still can't believe it and it could be that they change their mind and I'll get that denial letter some days from now. But I logged onto my account and my approval is right there.
