Please respond with your Hooters card experiences!

I applied for a Hooters Mastercard, and just finally got a letter a week later that says they need to verify my address and social security number before proceeding with my application. I applied once before, and just got straight denial.

Anyone else received a letter like this and still been approved? Has anyone ever been denied AFTER they sent the verifying information?

    Thanks for your feedback!

P.S. Hubs applied the same day and got an instant denial.

My husband was so looking forward to getting a Hooters card after our discharge (insert eye roll here)

He applied within days of our discharge and was approved for $500, which is what we wanted. Nothing major. BUT, his interest rate is 25% and an annual fee of $60, so we're making sure to pay off the statement in month.

I, on the other hand, applied for a Capital One with a $1000 limit (soon to be raised to $1500 if I make all of my payments on time) with an interest rate of 8.65%. My husband's Orchard Bank is also 8.65% and MY Orchard Bank is 14%....so we're making sure to pay off MY Orchard Bank and HIS Hooters, to avoid that hefty interest.

      Good luck!
