After that, you manage your credit wisely and then it doesn't really matter that you have a bankruptcy on your report. No?_________________________________________

I was an employee
To those who are wanting a cleaner credit report.
I was an employee with them for about 10 months. They closed the office were I worked and centralized their operation in Salt Lake City. As far as them being a scam, no, they are not a scam. Its a legit company that works in the credit repair world.
Now that being said I would never use them. They claim to "empower their clients to creditworthiness" but in the stint I worked there I ran across numerous clients who were paying us for nothing. Now I did see some accounts that had negatives removed off their credit reports but most were being sapped by the company for money.
Another thing... those "paralegals" arent what you think paralegals are. By definition to be a paralegal (in the state we were located) the only thing you had to do is get your work overlooked by a lawyer. Now think about that. In the office I worked in all of us were college kids, and come to think of it none of us were majoring in Law of any sort, lets not even go to credit law. They train you for about a week have 3 hour training sessions per day then let you loose on the floor. If you really want to know call em up and ask your "paralegal" a credit question. Ask em something they should know if they were a legit paralegal. What you will receive is an answer that doesnt even pertain to the question you asked. Thats cause they have no idea what they are saying. I am a quick study and would go home and study more about credit law. Many times I had to take calls my co-workers couldnt handle because of their lack of knowledge. It was saddening. They even joked about how retarded the clients were for listening to a bunch of college kids trying to make rent. I personally majored in Exercise Physiology and am off to med school. That is no where near credit law....
So for anyone who reads this please take all these comments with a grain of salt. I believe I am the only person on this thread who actually admitted working at the "law firm". I did see some amazing results for a few people. The company isnt a scam (as the definition of scam relates) but they were few and far between mind you. And like what has been stated earlier they dont do anything you cant do at home. Even being an employee my record did not have anything wiped off.... and I worked there. You know I was pushing my account more than anyone elses. So thats my two cents. There you have it.
If you have any questions feel free to email me. (email address removed by moderator) Ill tell you more if you like.

Ditto Confusing
I have had a very, very poor experience with Lexington. Five years ago, my former perfect credit went to heck after my child was diagnosed with cancer. I was a single parent with no support system and I had to leave my normal 9-5 position to tend to my child and treatments, etc. Over the course of about a year, my entire financial world collapsed around me. I lost everything, my credit was ruined and I ultimately file bankruptcy.
For several years, I have been dealing with the bad credit backlash. I finally decided it was time to take some action and turned to Lexington Law. Bad idea. I have been using their so called services for almost 5 months. A few negatives have been removed, but nothing that has improved my credit. Oddly, my score has dropped about 80 points since I started using them and I have not done anything to generate activity against my report.
They rarely respond to my messages at all and when they do, the response is inadequate at best.
Overall, I have found them to be full of promises with no delivery and their customer service is the worst I have ever encountered. Just a waste of money as far as I am concerned.

As much as it is to avoid debt settlement companies (DSCs), it is best to stay away from "credit repair" companies. They are as much "scammy" as DSCs are. Always best to repair your own credit reports. Dispute, dispute, dispute and clean up your CRs until you are completely satisfied.Chapter 13 filer since Feb. 2018 under a 60 months payment plan
Please think positive and do not give up!

About 4 years ago, I had one bad item on my credit report, that I wanted removed. Since it was only one item they charged me a one-time fee. I was a member of another credit forum at the time, and a user had posted some contact information for someone at the company I owed that would agree to settle and delete the debt. I gave this information to Lexington and the paralegal said she could not do anything with it, I would need to contact them on my own. So even though I paid them, they did no work.
