Has anyone heard of Blaze Credit card?

    Yesterday,

I received a pre-approved offer from a credit card company called Blaze. The bank is Metabank. They offer a MasterCard for rebuilding credit history. My offer was for an unsecured card with a credit limit that ranges from 300-1500.00

Has anyone heard of this card?

I ripped up the application because they charge a fee for opening up the card. Sounds like First Premier has changed their name.

I had one of those and it was a pain. The card didn't rebuild my history any better than time did.

I haven't heard of this card before but MetaBank is a legit bank that's separate from First Premier. They mainly focus on pre-paid/debit cards but do issue a handful of credit cards too. I don't believe they charge application fees on their other cards. I'd imagine the application included the terms and conditions that should spell out all the details.

      Blaze

Thanks Jeremy. I read the fine print. $300 initial limit. But there is a $175.00 fee for opening the account. Debited from the available credit limit granted.

well... i have blaze... and all that i know about them at this point is mastercard for some reason has a hard time trying to direct you to metabank, and that the annual fee and activation fee are just deducted from your credit limit. so if your credit limit is 300, you only get 145 the first month and you only have to pay 30$ min a month. they don't have very good interest rates, but all of your credit limit can be taken out in cash. i'm not gonna be back here so if you have any more Qs my email is [email address deleted by moderator]

If I am not mistaken Metabank has also been called Rewards 660 as well.

With a credit limit of $300 and a fee of $175, this sounds more like "punishment" than "rewards".............. lol!!!!

            Sorry, couldn't resist

You can't have your cake and eat it too. But you can dip your finger in the bowl and lick the icing

I agree. Most of the cards are pretty bad.

I just recently got one of the Blaze credit cards as well and yes there is a fee but that's what you have to do sometimes to get your credit reestablished when you've made a mess of it! Which i had done. I have three or four credit cards with low limits and they all charged a fee but at least i am showing payments made on time on all of them. And they aren't high enough limits to hurt me at all.

                  Gabby,

It isn't wise to post your email on an open forum.
