    Online Banking Information

I am hoping to use the knowledge of this forum to enlist a recommedation for an on-line banking service which will actually put together a "spending report" for you. My bank currently does not do this and I have excel spreadsheets out of the wazoo doing it myself...

I know I could purchase Quicken which I have used in years past, but I don't see a need if there is a bank that will do it for you for free. I know that Wells Fargo will compile a spending report and if anyone has experience using them (or it, specifically) please chime in!

    Much thanks in advance....

    1. Get/buy software usch as Quicken Pro, QuickBooks, or Microsoft Money.

    2. Setup account & personal spending reports, and set/turn on the feature "Online Banking" to your personal bank account, now every time you connect/login to your bank, it will automatically "synchronize" with your bank account, download all expenses/info from your account data into SW program, and automatically display them in nice format/reports with all color/bar/graph/charts, etc.

    Hope it helps!

I love Wells Fargo spending report now that they have changed it to where you can determine which catergory the expenditure goes into.

There are a couple of limitations, but I do not find them to be a big deal.
      1. You cannot split transactions into more than one category. For example, if you go to Wal Mart and purchase groceries and a carpet steamer, you cannot split it into groceries and household. You must choose one or the other.
      2. You are limited to their list of categories, which I do feel covers most anything you need.

I like it and do not use any other software at this time. I found that with other software I got way to detailed and complicated and started making categories and sub catergories, which can be less useful sometimes.

      Hope this helps,
