how should accts incld in bk be reported?

I filed ch 7 in Oct 04 & discharged Jan 05. I rec'd all 3 of my credit reports in April and filed disputes with all of them for accts that were not listed as incl in bk. I've rec'd notice that the disputed items have been corrected along with a corrected credit report. I'm still alittle concerned though, the 4 loans that I had through a credit union did update to reflect that they were incl in BK, but they also have under
    Status: past due 180 days
Account history: charge off as of Nov 04 and
    Creditors statement: transferred to recovery
Is this correct or should this all be removed. Also have a question reguarding my mortgage. I reaffirmed with the mortgage co and have been on time with my payments each month but on the credit reports it showing discharge thru BK ch 7, with a $.00 balance. Should I dispute this? Would it be better to show a $.00 balance or should it show how much I actually owe and my monthly payment?
    Thanks

I know the issue you are talking about, it's on mine to. On your report it will show CO. They can report lateness up until the date you filed, not after. I think November is ok, I wouldn't get technical. The important thing is "included in BK. CH. 7". Remember that the pretty report with little red bubbly dots and such that we see is not exactly what prospective lenders see.

Just make sure that dates of BK, discharge coincide. Your credit score will rise in time. You have to be diligent and recheck every few months because some businesses change finance companies and may rereport you, duplicating the info.

Send a copy of the reaffirmation letter if you wish. I would give it some time. When you are BK/reaffirming with GMAC, Chase or nearly any Mortgage Co. you are placed in the BK Office until they know that your case is not just discharged, but CLOSED. Give them time and don't sweat that issue. Once the case shows closed give them a minimum six months to get it through their maze of offices. These large companies get a little mixed up. My GMAC shows that it was charged off for 3 months (Experian) but I've never been LATE and have my reaffirmation letter signed!!!! Chase removed ALL information from my wifes CRA reports! GMAC shows 0.00 owed on one report! I wish!

I suggest waiting a year to argue anything about the Mortgage. You have your Mortgage, that's what will show if you refi, etc...

Also, if the information correct where it is important don't dispute the tiny, unimportant incosistencies. These companies can mess up (I know) and the dispute can produce something worse. The fact that you are doing as well with the CRA's as far as corecting the dates is great this soon after a discharge.
