    Judgments

Can someone have a judgment on their credit report without even knowing about it?
My husband was denied over draft protection on his bank visa card (stupid he even applied for it) and one of the reasons (in a list of 3) was judgment, bankruptcy, accounts which state charge off or bad debt.
We haven't looked at our CR yet because we just got discharged less than 2 weeks ago. Is this possible? We listed every single debt in our bk. What do I do now.

Although its possible for someone to get a judgment against without you knowing about, its not that common, because in order to get a jugdment, they need to sue you firsts, and part of sueing you, they have to serve a complaint on you. So unless you move around a lot, or have not updated your account information, you would have receieved something notifying you of a lawsuit (or arbitration)

Can you receive a judgment during bk? We moved (notified the courts) a month before our discharge. There was something certified in the mail at the old address which I was not able to ever get. Could it be a judgement? I'm waiting a while to get our credit report since we just got discharged April 27th. If they can't serve us a judgement during BK than I don't think we have one, I hope... right?

if you didn't properly notice the creditor or the court of your pending BK, then yes, its possible that a judgment could have been taken against you during your bk.

I'm pretty sure everyone was notified properly.
Now that I think about it, the reason for denial of the over draft line could have been any one of the 3 listed. Judgment, bankruptcy, or accounts which state charge off or bad debt.

            Has your BK been discharged?

If it hasn't been discharged, the reason it was denied is because you BK is still pending and they are forbidden from extending credit to you.
