    Captital one credit limits

    I just read that capital one is finally going to start reporting credit limits by years end.

    Has anyone else heard this?

    Has anyone with a capital one card noticed if their limit is being reported now?

    Not yet. But that will really help out though.

      Yes i heard the news last week that captial one should be reporting credit limits soon but doesnt know when. That's pretty good!

        Well they finally just started reporting my limit. It caused my score to jump 20 points. That's pretty good considering I have rather high usage on that account due to some home and auto repairs I put on it and haven't completely paid off yet so I am at about 70% of the limit right now. I expect my score to go even higher as I pay that off.

          JollyGG, I'm glad you reported on that. I asked my boyfriend if he knows whether they started to report and he said he didn't know. And he won't get his credit report again until January - even though I'm DYING to know if they're reporting his limits.

            Just this month I signed up for a credit monitoring service. When I pulled my report on 10/5 it wasn't there but when I pulled again yesterday it was FINALLY there.

                My Cap One account is reporting the credit line finally. It only took a class action lawsuit to make it a reality.

                  Mine have been reported for about 3 weeks! My FICOS jumped by 40 points!
                  BUSY running my own credit repair services! Sorry I don't stop in so often any more!

                    I had read "by" or "around" October and sure enough, ours are reporting.

                    And our Scores went up too!!

                      Yeah, my FICO has jumped up also to 691! One year out of bk and rebuilding is going well.. Cant wait to crack the 700 mark...someday.

                        yep, mine are reporting, but I didn't see any jump in my scores. I don't carry a balance on mine, so maybe that's why???

                          I don't carry a balance on mine either... I thought THAT was the reason my scores went up.

                            Would it be a good idea to get a card with capital one before filing? & go in with a couple of payments but a zero balance? so that they are not listed on a BK...

                            OR- is it better to wait because they will just cancel you anyway?

                            Did anyone get to keep using their capitol one card after BK?

                              I got my cap one 2 months after discharge. I think you'd be better off to go that route so you know they wouldn't cancel it. Just my opinion.
