Capital ONe $50 back offer with new cc

I bk'd my Cap one...I think I had like $2,500 on it during my bk.

I just got an offer from them:

"You've earned this pre approved offer for a COPMC...we've reviewed your recent credit info and know that you've successfully moved beyond the financial difficulties of the past...no annual, act now...

And it offers $50 back after your first purchase...

No annual 14.0 after the intro period ....

    Anybody got this offer yet?

I was afraid to accept anything from them since the bk and I didn't want to get stuck having to pay them back from before re: that tricky clause...

so much for the your pre-approved bs! I might try it...I think I'd rather get $25 worth of free gas on a shell card!

I don't know....it's about to rain elephants in Sarasota/Longboat Key right now...it looks like night coming in

I got some Cap one offers too

I also bk'd on 2 cap one cards. The limits were only 300 & 500, so they really didn't lose alot on me filing last year.

Well, I got one offer last week from them which also stated that because I let my financial difficulties get behind me, that I was preapproved ($500-$3000) so I applied online and received an instant approval, however I will have to wait the standard 7-10 days for my card and I will find out the balance then.

Then on Saturday, I received another offer from them, but with the $50 bonus, which sounds interesting. I am tempted to apply, but the fine print says that you may not get accepted for the offer if you have already applied within 45 days. I guess I will wait for the card in the mail and then maybe call customer service to see if its a waste of time applying for the card with the $50 bonus.

Here I thought that I was blacklisted too.

        sbb
        Hooters MC: $1700
        First Premier Platinum MC: $450
Orchard Bank MC: $300 Juniper Visa :$600
        Target Card: $200 Capital One:$1500

I would be weary of getting additional credit from a company that I had filed Bk on. But that's just me.

            That's what I'm talking about!

Not to be repetitive but somewhere someone had mentioned some fine print on a cap 1 about if you reapply for a cc, you can get stuck with what you bk'd on...I just don't even want to go there.

I would think it is written somewhere that once your debt has been discharged the creditor cannot go after you, however I believe that once you are discharged it is up to you if you want to "reaffirm," your debt with them? NOT ! Whats the point of spending all that money to get discharged of all you bad debt, only to reaffirm some back???

I'd stay away .. far far far away !

American Express, after 4 years out of my first Bk kept sending me letters to settle my debt with them for almost half the amount I owed ! I'm pretty sure it was one of those junk collectors! I would just send them a copy of my discharged papers.
