    Finance a Boat?

BK discharged in 8/2005. Have financed two cars (one in each name) both through Capital One Blank Check Program (which I highly recommend! No hassles!!! No embarrassments!!!!)

Does anyone know where I could finance a boat with a BK on my record? NOT a big boat - something small for around $10,000. Looking for a company that specializes in "bad credit boat loans" cause of the BK

Since you're nearly 2 years out from BK, with what seems to be a good track record of on time payments, you should be able to look at more mainstream, conventional financing.

Could be worth it to give it a whirl.

It can be done. My bank started sending me pre-approval offers for a boat loan up to 35k, less than one year after discharge.

But the question you really need to be asking yourself is, would a boat purchase soon after bankruptcy really be a wise financial decision. In most cases, the answer is 'no' in a big way.

My question is can you really afford the boat and the extra payment?
