TV died today; approved for Sears $5200

Weird thing happened; applied online for hubby. He filed bk with me discharged feb 06. I have managed to get the pubic records off all three of this credit reports, but the 3 derrog accounts still refer to the BK. Anyway, he was denied online. So when we went into the store, we did decide on a TV for $849.00. The salesperson, of course gets credits for cc apps. And I figured it wouldn't process a duplicate on the same day and get another hit, so I told hubby, what the heck go ahead and apply. Couldn't believe it! $5200, and its through Citi Bank. His scores are 635, 605, 620 as of today on truecredit. We did have a little of an arguement, however, after he was approved cuz he decided he now wanted the $2500 TV with DVD and all the extras! Well, we did the smart thing and stuck with the orginal plan. This should help his score and utilization. I will add myself as an Auth. user asap! I am still in shock!

I'm also glad to hear that you two stayed with the original plan. I know how tempting it is to go for the whole enchilada. I'm still paying on my Chpt. 13 and personally, while I'm really afraid of getting credit, I am anxious to get started on rebuilding and moving on with my life.

I'm sure that's the best T.V. evar! ;)
