    Hooters Card?

What is the big deal with the Hooters Card? I see alot of folks have them. Is there something that makes these better than others?

We just applied so I'll let you know!

First off, I think Merrick Bank who provides the Hooter's card knows that not too many would like to flash the card (at least in my case, I chose it to be in my name and I'd use it for online groceries). But they've got to support their client, Hooter's. So by easing up on the terms and letting challenged creditors in, they're doing business!?!? I've never eaten at a Hooter's and my husband has been there a couple of times in his single days. There is no way I could eat a dinner while being so repulsed by the wait staff. LOL

So perhaps their terms are a little nicer to get more to use their card? Or hmm..maybe their insinuating that the larger public who has poor credit would enjoy eating at Hooter's?

Even though the staff attire bothers me, for some reason I always get hungry for burgers and fries when I hear of Hooters. But you won't catch me eating there. Maybe some take out? haha

      ROFL!!

I applied for a hooters card in my wife's name and she flipped! There was no way she was going to put that card in her purse! How embarrassing she proclaimed.

anyhow...nice to know that it's not only my wife that has the same feelings towards the card. But hey, they gave her an $8K credit limit with no fees. Her score is 707 twenty months posk BK.

In defense of Hooters....I threw a fit and refused to go to Hooters with DH. I figured they would be rude and all over DH, etc. I was totally wrong. I caved one day and we took the family in and the wait staff was incrediably polite and nice and VERY respectful of us as a family. I don't mind eating there at all and I certainly don't mind taking the family in there, though the girls do get lectures about appropriate dress on the way home.

Oh....and their chicken rocks. Best chicken sandwich.

One year, my New Year's Eve date take me to Hooters for dinner. I ended up taking him after dinner to the only place in town that had good dance music: a gay bar.

          Tit for tat.

I never realized just how rude that is to take a date to Hooters until I thought about it later on in life and I had wondered what happened to that guy. I guess my subconscience knew how to treat me better than myself. teehee...

I won't be applying for a Hooters card. I don't really want to support, nor advertise, that establishment. I have not been to Hooters since that date, and that was in the way early 90's.

what the big deal; girls in short shorts and tight shirts. Wings off the hook! Great TV's for football games. Scores big points with the hubby or boyfriend to be cool about simple stuff like this!! And as far as the card, gives a good limit and opportunity to rebuild credit.

              Hooters Card

The card offers cash back - 1 point per 1 dollar. 2500 points equals $25.00 check and so on. No annual fee. Free online payments. Actually, my first card after chapter 7. They have raised my limit to 1600.00 so far.

I like the card - people always comment on the card, especially ladies. But what the heck, its only plastic!

Trade Wiz - you were discharged 1/06 - when did you get this $7500 CL with Hooters? Sounds too large to have happened less than one year after your bk.........
