    husband approved for WaMu!

My husband got an offer today from WaMu. He hasn't been able to get a CC for years because he had a charge off eight years ago, so I didn't really think he would get it.

I am so proud to say that he was APPROVED for $1500 CL with a 14.99% APR (not bad considering we are 5 months out). Not having a CC has hurt his credit score, so now he finally has a chance to rebuild! Not to mention, I added myself as an authorized user, so I have yet another account that will be reporting positively.

Glad you and hubby are able to join the world of credit again. Use your new-found bk wisdom wisely - don't charge very much and pay that card off every single month in full! Happy rebuilding - hope it goes well for you both.

      Me Too!

I was approved for WaMu as well today. All I know for now is that the CL is $1000, no fees () and is 0% APR on balance transfers and purchases for 9 months (gotta get rid of First Premier......outrageous fees). What I'm unsure of at this point is the APR after the 9 months. The range is 9.99% to 19.99% after the intro period.....so......I'm guessing the APR will be somewhere in that range (which is much better than the 25.20% Hooters gave me.....cancelled Hooters before activation).

That account will not be reported on your report. FICO just changed their reporting standards so to speak and they are no longer taking into effect authorized users. This was just posted about in the mortgage section http://bankruptcyforum.com/showthread.php?t=14808
It's also all over the internet and on yahoo news.

Oh, well... I have several of my own, so I guess I'll recover. Would have been nice to have another one though.

Edited to add: Apparently this change isn't going to take place until September (1 bureau) and the other two will be in early 2008. So I may get at least a few months of reporting after all - I would assume they won't remove it after the changes; maybe it will just stop reporting?

That's okay BW. If you have your own already, than you're doing just fine for yourself. Besides, you don't want to show too much available credit.

That's too bad. I was hoping to add myself to 2 of my husband's cards after discharge in hopes of giving myself an added credit boost. Oh well. Just have to dig in and work hard.
