What happens to a credit file in 8 years after filing Chapter 13, before you have had time to start rebuilding. Are you right back to square one, as if you never had credit? Does it become a "thin File" as noted above?

I don't know - maybe the experts can add something. I can't imagine your file becoming a 'thin' file. It either is or isn't, so if you haven't built it up much in 8 years, I presume that's where you start? The score model will not cause you to 'start over' - just that your thin file probably won't generate a great score.
