    Jet Blue AMEX card?

Anyone looked into this? Last weekend, in Sarasota, they had the Jet Blue airbus parked & my friend & I went in to take a seat...nice leather, lots of leg room & tv screens in seats....all useful of course, if the flight takes off (LOL!)

They offer an AMEX card with points going towards travel. $40 annual fee.

I know we're all trying to stay away from the annual fees but I'm personally looking for a card where I can get points from spending for travel use due to my kids living out of state.

    Any thoughts on this?

You're not going to get an amex with a bk on your report.

Just be prepared to waste the inquiry, and take a hit to your scores for about 5 pts...

there are stories about people making 65K plus and there employer needed them put on the amex acct for business purposes and still a NO

If you call AMEX they will tell you that they will NOT even consider you with a BK!! Flat out, in fact if you have an account with them that is in good standing and you file they will close the account!

All airline rewards cards carry an annual fee. Unless you spend a whole boat load of money, 10s of thousands a year, you don't get ahead on the deal. I think it takes like 25,000 miles to get a free ticket. You get one mile per dollar spent unless there's a special deal or something. Oh, and you get a bonus when you use it to book a flight on that airline. If you don't fly alot and spend alot you probably won't get a free ticket for a long time.

The most I got for applying for an AMX card was a free blankey from Costco which I'm letting my kittens nap in

I don't even know what my credit score is...have the Hooters (1K) and Household Bank ($3K)....that's all I really want to carry in the credit dept. at this point & time but figured a card with air miles would be good....I keep the cash in the bank & carry a card only....that way, when bill comes, I have the $ to take care of it.....

Are you listening to what we are telling you? AMEX is NOT NOT NOT BK friendly. They will not approve you with with a BK. You are wasting your time and a 5 point hit on your report by applying.

If you want miles try Juniper Carnival Sea Miles or one of the other Juniper cards..........

Cindylynnsmith said it best. Not sure why you want to apply for a card that everyone knows for a fact you could never get anyways, at least for another 7-10 years.

If you want a card with airmiles, go with juniper like cindy says, us airways or airtran.

Depends. I've had my Amex card for only a few years and my Ch7 was just discharged and closed a couple of months ago - they didn't bat an eye. The key is that they were NOT included in my list of debts. Since there was no balance on the card there was, in fact, no debt and no reason to list them.

But as far as the OP is concerned: right, don't bother.
