The site looks pretty legit. I don't pay rent but someone had a great idea and one that is beneficial if they actually perform as they claim.

It seems a little steep to me, but maybe worth it if someone has $100.00 to throw away...

Actually I think saving reciepts would be just as effective. Hollywood Florida has one of the best programs for first time (over seven years) home buyers in the Country. With a BK just show ontime payments for two years on your utilities, rent, etc...
They literally give you a check for your down payment, up to about 25,000.00 for new construction.

If you live in Florida call the City of Hollywood. This is not a giveaway for the poor and Hollywood has some VERY nice areas. This is for middle income people with an eye toward families.

This is not an ad, I went through the program years ago. The City wants new blood and they work with local lenders. I did not buy my home in Hollywood and ended up going conventional even though the rates were better than competetive. My check was waiting for us, my wife and i had our downpayment funds within one month of applying.

This program has literally breathed new life into the City, new young families now occupy what were older retiree homes. The tax base of Hollywood has grown and new businesses have moved in to service a younger crowd. It borders Davie and Cooper City on the West which are very nice Towns.

There are no strings attached either, I know MANY people at work who have used it over the years and most are happily still in their homes, some built brand new ones and even paid a little cash on the side for nice upgrades. I searched Davie, Ft. Lauderdale, etc... and found no program nearly as good as this one. You go to several seminars first. You will get a quality home, CBS, that meets the City Codes or the City will not let you use the down payment.

Has anyone else tried this service out? I just spoke with a rep and asked if they could go back like 4 yrs. worth of rent but they said it works from the day you sign up, forward. I also asked if they did a credit check that would show up as an inquiry on my report and they said they never check your credit, just report your rent. Sounds like a good deal but I did not sign up and still need some time to decide.

Dont waste your money on that service......................the concept of thier service sounds logical. But in reality it'll be of little benefit to you because RENT isn't credit.

Actually, todd you are correct, rent isn't credit, because there is no agency or single body that reports it to the bureaus anywhere in the US! This is exactly why this business is coming afloat!

The company is 100% legit and it does work...AMAZINGLY!!!

Joe, after talking to Jim about backdating, we found that as long as your lease/rental agreement is dated back to then, we can backdate, but I believe the limitation is 3 years.

AND, a high monthly payment with a high credit limit added to your credit is VERY much benificial to lenders and everyone that looks at credit...you pay anything over a period of time at the degree you pay your rent, it will look great on your credit...

There is a special right now for APRIL, $39.95 and NO monthly fees...saweeet!

I just sold my 1st home to my renter, amazingly she had also gone through a BK 5 years earlier but never rebuild her credit. In order for her to get the loan, I was asked to sign a paper from her lender which stated she had a good rental history... So, if you're thinking about buying a home after bk, I'm sure your mortgage company will want you to have this document signed as well. I wouldn't bother paying someone to report your rental history on your credit report.
