    How are you doing it?

I want to know how you all are getting some of these cards even though they are not really bk friendly.

Hooters turned me down because of the bk and I was turned down for the Target Red Card twice for the same reason. My bk was discharged at the beginning of this year. I can't seem to access my TU report online because of something about a fraud????? I need to call them. My EQ and EX are 552/615

I was approved for Crown Jewelers but their cheap jewelry is too ugly to bother with. LOL

I'll get a secured card if I have to, but would rather not. My scores look like they are a whole lot lower than most of you here.

    What else should I try?

You can try First Premier, although the fees are quite high. You'll get a $300 unsecured credit limit, but after the intro fees, you'll only have about $100 of available credit. The interest rate is pretty good though.....9.90%.

Is it absolutely necessary that you get a credit card? I know it's a great way to re-build, but time is the best healer.

Time and cleaning up your Credit Reports. Focus on cleaning up your Credit Reports before applying for any other new credit.

You may be surprised to find lots of old debt still hanging on. Getting the $$$'s off and accts showing IIB will boost your score.

Maybe the fraud alert is hindering you. If you didn't put the Fraud Alert on your Credit Report, then you need to address that issue too.

I have been turned down for target over and over but my husband was sent one 1 month out of BK. We both got hooter, BUT we did have first premier and orchard first before we applied. Did you try orchard??? Their terms are better than first premier. Keep us posted.

Capital One, household, orchard. All the bk 'friendly' cards will accept you eventually, once your fico scores go up

Target's turned me down everytime I ever applied with them....pissed me off always as I like to shop there....maybe I'll try again, it's been at least two years since I applied for their card....hmmmm...but l did get the Hooter's for $1K line of credit which I was quite surprised at. Sent the $72 check in & paid off the annual fee/bill in full & quite proud of that!
