Where is the Judgment appearing on your CR. Is it in your public records section? Second, what was the judgment for, specifically? Are you sure you had NO liability toward it (prior to your BK)? Remember, for the most part, a married couple is a "single" economic entity vis-a-vis the rest of the world, which means, that if a husband makes a contract, the wife is liable and vice-versa. Third, Judgments typically do not get an IIB designation; public records section merely states what public records are out there about you. Also, strictly speaking, Judgments are not discharged in BK, they remain liens on all assets of the Bankruptcy Estate.

Let's clarify - the judgement itself is not dismissed in the bk case, although the debt that caused the judgement to be brought can be discharged. If the debt is one that can be - and is - discharged (unsecured credit, for example) then you can oftentimes have the judgement vacated and removed from your PR . That is, the judgement is removed from the courthouse records, and once that's done it can be erased from your credit reports.

The process for removing or vacating a judgement may vary from state to state, but the debtor can always call or visit their local court for instructions, advice, and yes, help too, on filing the forms to vacate the judgement.

The judgement was for a car accident , The guy sued my husband before I had met him. He had a judgement for medical bills or something my husband did not have ins. I think at that time,
Anyways the lawyer said it was included in our BK I hope... it is under public records..
