Recieved CBR from RiskWise-anyone heard of them?

I needed a new cell phone and applied to Sprint. They assesed a deposit to my account (sucks but its the best deal for nationwide that I could get) because of my report from Equifax and RiskWise.

Having never heard of RiskWIse and wanting to get a copy of my report, I called their number and gave up after a bazillion voice prompts/hoops beginning with my SS#. I have NO IDEA who these folks are so I'm not comfy sharing my info over the phone with them until I get confirmation from my trusted friends here.

Anyone have any experience with RiskWise? WHo are they and do I need to start tracking them as well?

    Thanks!

Riskwise is not a credit bureau, its simply the agency who assessed your credit report from equifax and provided the assessment to sprint. Its a company for businesses, not for consumers. If you want your credit report or scores, either get it directly from one of the credit bureaus, one of their direct subscription agencies like true credit from transunion, or myfico.com. You can also get simple copies of your credit reports free from www.annualcreditreport.com , once a year, just basic without any credit scoring or analysis of any type.

Gonna hijack this for my own question. Do dell companies report to the CB's? I have Cingular and its not listed on any of my CR's. Not that I have run into this problem but in the future if I leave them what do the cell companies look for when they run a report on you for a contract. I am discharging an old Verizon beeper account that I not paying due to deceptive practices but thats not on the reports either.

Since you pay for your phone, in advance, each month, Cell phones really don't extend credit, therefore, they do not report to the CRB's.

As far as what they look for, given how many people are able to get cell phones, the criteria is not very high...I think they just check to see that you are not a total dead beat.
