    Good Laugh today!

Working on DW's credit files, signed her up for TC's 3-in-1. She pulled her report and LOL! - TU shows her name as 'last, first, JR.' She has what most people would read as clearly a female name - no ambiguous opportunity to wonder if the name is male or female...but there she is, clearly marked as 'Jr.'
Of course, you can't dispute your name online - have to send 'proof' documents for that - is there any way to call or email these yokes to see the obvious error? Any other women juniors out there?

No Jr. here, but there is no other way - did you ask about "faxing," info over?

    Best wishes, Catchmeifyoucan

I am currently subscribed to TrueCredit through Transunion and they do allow you to dispute your name online. It worked for me when I disputed. They had my name listed middle, first, last and last, first, middle. It took 30 days but it worked. With Equifax and Experian I had to send in proof. Hope this helps.

I copied the personal information below that you are able to dispute online.

To modify any of the following personal information on your credit report, click Add Dispute. If you do not need to modify your personal information, click Next.

      Name
      Current Address
      Previous Address
      Social Security number (SSN)
      Date of Birth
      Alias (AKA)
      Phone Number
      Current Employer
      Previous Employer
Note: You will have an option

Goodluck it is a pain to change the name info.
My hubby and his dad have the same first and last name, but different middle names....yet they keep merging the two reports togther!! It is a nightnmare!!
I made my hubby use his FULL middle name when doing EVERYTHING!!! he has been for the last 8 years and it seems to be a little better.
Funny thing was is there was a Nicore bill on his file, from 2yrs ago, from a house that we never lived in....we have lived here for almost 9yrs now, and we dont even have gas...everything is electric. I called and after me getting nasty they removed it.

In one latino family I know, the kids took on the mother's name and not the father's. She told me it was part of the culture.

I guess there could be a gender neutral name like Chris or Tracey where the gender line could be crossed and a Jr exist.

They are so annoying. One of the angencies has my husband's middle name listed as my first name. It was a pain the *** to remove and guess what... a couple months later it was listed that way again. We don't even know which company is reporting it that way?

Also, a company keeps reporting my maiden name... so, my current name gets bumped to previous name.

It is driving us nuts. I don't even get any mail in my maiden name. I have been married since 2000.

Ugh, you can make a written comment on your credit report and state that your correct name is blah blah blah...

Naz - I can't see the add dispute link you refer to. When we went to the dispute area and looked at Personal data - clicked 'change' it only allowed address, phone, etc. Said name changes had to be submitted with proof docs. How long ago did you do yours? Maybe they've changed the pages....

I just checked Transunion out today and it is still giving me the option to dispute my name online.

Here is the link that I was given off of TrueCredit.

If you have already registered just select Returning User.

I'm not sure if it could be that they give me this option due to the state I live in?

Maybe someone else can chime in if they have any ideas.

Sorry, to but in like this, but have 1 heck of a funny story to tell you.

My sister Ruth Lynn has received a credit card in the mail. Well the name was wrong on the card. The name on the card was Bruce Wayne and then her last name. She called the company and the cust rep was like "So your not Bruce Wayne ....?" My sister said "Ma'am I am not BATMAN." I laughed so hard my stomach hurt. She still has the card to show people. I can hardly type now thinking about it.

I have had credit issued in my dog's name (it wasn't a name you'd consider a dog name.) Wonder where they ever got her SSN?

About correcting the name, would sending a copy of official ID help?
