Hi everyone, I just wanted to take a moment and share my story with everyone. I came to this board scared and stressed but over the course of the past few months I read, read, and read and let me say this forum really helped me. Tomorrow I have officially been discharged for 1 month and I am proud to say that I have CLEANED BOTH ME AND MY HUSBANDS REPORTS UP!!!! I have one little stinking creditor that wants to be a bone head but everyone else is reporting IIB, a lot have been deleted because they did not respond in 30 days!!! I'm just ecstatic that all of this happened for us in the course of a month. But I wanted to give everyone here credit because I absorbed all of your wisdom and your experience and I tailored them to my situation and whalllaaaa look at me now. I have one credit card on the way from Orchard and I will not be ripped off by the likes of First Premier. I'll just sit back and wait for the good offers to roll in. Oh before I forget to mention, our scores have increased like 70 points and we were way at the bottom of the credit score spectrum! I'm just soo happy everyone that as I type I'm getting all misty-eyed because this is the most wonderful feeling in the world to be debt free and to see that I have accomplished so much in just a month. I just wanted to share this with people who are going through the process now. I started disputing the day of my discharge. I disputed online and I mailed out letters. ALL I can say is thanks to any and everyone who's been an inspiration to me!

My suggestions are from "personal experience" and research only. Do not consider this as legal advice. Each bankruptcy case is different.

Great job ....but be sure to WATCH your reports correctly!!!!!!
I had both mine and my hubby's reports perfect except for BK reporting ...everything was great and like you ALOT was removed due to not responding with in 30-45 days. ALL was great....
Then all of a sudden my hubby's scores dropped I freaked!!!! As I looked into it...I saw that the accounts that were removed in 02/06(due to no reposnse in 30 days) they showed back up!!!!!! I was LIVID!!!!!!! I wrote a letter and they verified them, so I called....they told me that they are valid, my hubby "DID have an account at one point and it IS listed as IIB, and has a zero balance.....so what's the problem?" I was dumbfounded..I asked how can they do that?? It was removed yet 6 monbths later they put it back on corrected....they said cause the info they are reparting IS correct!. I just hung up and cried..... all my hard work, and I was so happy....so now they keep responding "already verified". So I will wait and try again in a few months!
So keep on top of it!!!

Congrats, Tedderbear!
I'm a newbie here, and am curious - what do you mean by thy didn't respond in 30 days? So you mean that you challenged that you owed the debt? Or do you mean that they never contested the bankruptcy?
Thanks!Filed (in pro se): 1/2010
341: 2/2010
Discharge: 4/2010
Final Decree Entered: 5/2010
