    APPROVED!!! FINALLY!!! First Premier Bank!!!

I finally got approved for a credit card through first premier bank. The fee's are insane, but it's the price I have to pay to rebuild I guess. Capital One and Hooters turned me down, as well as Orchard Bank (qualified for a secured card)

After mailing in my $300 deposit to BOA for a secured credit card, and then getting denied that, I really thought I was screwed for a lifetime. I'm not thrilled about the fees at FPB, but the after those are paid, the 9.9% interest rate isn't bad at all, for my situation.

    Credit scores are as follows
    TU:490
    EX:502
    EQ:496

Does anyone have any comments on first premier? How well do they report to the CB'S? I applied by phone and they seemed good on customer service thus far. Any input would be appreciated.

    Thanks!
    Adam

Ist Premire sucks! thier fees are truely outragious. I'd be very careful with that card. Once you get a better offer, dump it and get one or two that don't charge soo much.
    My credit scores:
Before Filing: Tr 496, Ex 496, Eq 507

    Today: Tr 618 (+122), Ex 601 (+105), Eq 623 (+116)

Have you already worked to clean up all the errors on your credit report? If you haven't, stop applying for cards - each application puts a hard hit on your report and too many spread over a period of time can lower your scores even more. Take the time now to clean up your reports first - it will increase your scores and increase your chances of getting a better deal for new credit when you apply again.

I would absolutely not pay all those ridiculous fees, even if first premier or aspire were the last credit cards on earth. Thats just me tho. I don't need credit THAT BAD to just volunteer myself to get ripped off that badly.

          Hi Adam,
I've had my First Premier card since this past july and so far it's working out fine. I was scared to get the Aspire Visa card because I read soo many bad reviews more than FPB. You have to start somewhere when you get out of BK. This October will be a year ago i filed chapter 7 and I have goals to reestablish my credit. My next card I'm trying to get is Orchard Bank. FPB havent given me any problems. Just $200 to start off. ANd yeah you have to pay all those fees. But it's not that bad. My plan is to only keep it for a year. Oh yeah, Hooters turned me down too Just keep up the good work and stay positive! Oh yeah, they also report faithfully!!! I've check my credit report already and it shows on all 3.!!!!

Um, the reason your getting delcine is your scores are so low. Clean up ypur credit first. Make sure all tradelines included in your BK show IIB with a zero balance.

Alright I got the card today (monday, so less than a week) It was weird, because they sent it without needing to be activated, I've never seen that before on ANY card (Credit, debit, hell even phone cards need to be activated)

But as far as the fee's go...I remember my first credit card was the US Airways Dividend Miles card from Bank of America, and that had a $79 annual fee. This has a $178.00 fee, so I guess not that bad

I don't think I would have gone for this if it weren't for the 9.9% interest rate. I'm also shocked they wanted to charge me a one time $3.99 fee to use their online banking. I'm also shocked that if I wanted to pay my bill online, they would charge me a $7.00 fee to use that service. It will be strange, but I will actually write the check out, wait for the mail, send it back snail mail, and actually use stamps. I've never paid for anything through the mail, I'm only 21

But it's better than 7 bucks for paying online and 4 bucks just for getting online. I might go ahead and authorize the 4 bucks...only because I always check my bank accounts before I go to bed, and I need instant access.

Alright well I know every says stay away, but I'm goin for it.

                  Thanks for your input!

you have very low scores. Start the long ardous process of cleaning that cr up. If u don't know how - hire an agency.

And use orchard - don't use those high fee, use your own money, crap credit card agencies.
