Barbisi, my wife and I started looking around for a new place to live about 6-months after my Chapter 13 discharge. In the end my wife got cold feet, but not before the property owner, who knew about the bankruptcy, went out of her way to say, she had a number of couples ready to give her a deposit, but she wanted us to be her new tenants; the property was ours if we wanted it.

Last fall, a year later, we were asked to move from the horse farm we'd lived on since 2013 because my new job no longer allowed me enough time to take care of their 11 horses; basically the same thing happened, we found a brand new townhome and the owner, who also knew about the bankruptcy, went out of his way to say he considered us his ideal tenants; he was thrilled when we signed the lease.
    Chapter 13 (not 100%):
    • Burned: AMEX, Chase, Citi, Wells Fargo, and South County Bank cum Bank of Southern California
    • Filed: 26-Feb-2015
    • MoC: 01-Mar-2015
    • 1st Payment (posted): 23-Mar-2015

    • Discharged: 04-Mar-2020

shipo I think you have done a fabulous job of rebuilding your credit and I would imagine any landlord would be thrilled to have you as a tenant; we're just not there yet, LOL!
