Hi, has anyone tried applying for a mortgage 10 years post-bk? I just read a comment on another site that the credit reports banks pull are different than the ones provided to consumers. Supposedly all the bad stuff shows, regardless of timing. Anyone have this experience?

Your bankruptcy will no longer be on your credit report, even the version the creditors get. But, if you had a foreclosure, it is a matter of public record and a new lender will find out. If a foreclosure is anywhere near 10 years old, it shouldn't prevent you from getting a mortgage if you have reestablished a good credit history and have sufficient stable income.LadyInTheRed is in the black!
