One spouse filed can the other get mortgage

My wife wants to file a 7 assuming she gets discharged in a few months and I apply for a mortgage will her 7 kill my application?

I will need to show her income but don't need her on the loan.

any thoughts.

I don't know about NY laws but here if FL for a mortgage, a spouse must also sign the mortgage document. If this is the case, she may be a problem on a new mortgage. Best I can say is try it, and see. 'Hub

Actually the home would be in Florida, do you have more info on that requirement?

Even if not a state law requirement, if you need her income to qualify for the loan, my understanding is that the lender will require she be a co-borrower. If I'm correct on that, her BK would definitely be an issue.
