Just wanted to share our recent success. Our bk was discharged in May 09, no house, just medical bills and some other bills mostly. We just got approved for a mortgage to buy our first home. We are going FHA and do have about 9500 as a down payment. We are approved for 260,000 and found a house we love and are getting ready to make an offer. So, just wanted to let people know there is hope out there. Also, our credit scores are 640, and 631. So, keep working at it if your dream is to own your own home, it can happen! Good luck to anyone else out there going through this!
