thanks! sorry, maybe i worded that wrong. my closing costs were not that much, that is the seller's contribution that applies towards closing costs, down payment, & additional principal. it is in the form of a second mortgage (interest free) that only has to be paid back if i sell, or property is no longer my principal. (down payment assistance program)

We have our discharge and case is closed. We fortunately have a place to live which is much cheaper to live in than the current home which we included in Chapter 7. We live in Arizona. Greentree (I believe servicing agent for BOA) has sent us Notice of Default, told us we were not eligible to any modification, and then sent us a temporary loan modification which we are ignoring becaue we never applied for it to begin with. Do we think they know what they are doing? NO! We really want to leave this place. It is insured by us thru September 2012 but we want to get on with our lives. We have paid the HOA dues also thru September. Can we just leave? Give the keys to the bank? How do we get out of here?

                Hi Calhoun,
You might want to start a new thread with your question.

                  ******update******closing almost didn't happen******

well my closing was scheduled for 12 noon today(6/28). the sellers only had to have the appliances(fridge, microwave, range & dishwasher/ (2) outside condensing units installed so the appraiser could inspect and sign off so the loan could fund. NOT!! the ac units were the only things installed when the appraiser came. got to attorney's office and they didn't even want to let me sign the docs so i could close in escrow. my agent raised **** and after phone calls were made to the seller, everyone agreed to let me sign my paperwork. attorney's assistant had just finished hud1 today and it was wrong. had me bringing $3475 to closing table. redid the hud 1 and had me bringing $375 to closing table instead of the correct $80. after all was said and done, i signed my documents. loan will fund and i get my keys tomorrow(6/29). all appliances have been installed and are working as of 6pm this evening (6/28).
