    refinance after chapter 7 discharge

I was wanting to see if anyone knows if I can refinance my mortgage post-chapter 7? We were discharged in July of this year and we tried to get a loan modification with our mortgage company but we were denied b/c they said my husband makes too much money for HAMP and they said they don't do HARP and they won't do an in-house modification. Is there any mortgage companies out there that will refiance our mortgage? Thanks so much!

Not until 2 years post CH7 unless you can prove serious illness (near death) then you have a chance 12 months out. Just trying to find someone who does that, that being the FHA manual underwriting is a task. Most likely it will be 2 years post discharge before you can get a re-fi. I am in the same boat....I have 11 months to go until my 2 years are up!
