    Will a cosigner help?

I filed BK last year and am wanting to sell my current home and buy a new one. If I have my parent cosign that has perfect credit will I be able to get the best interest rate or will my BK make the rate higher even though I have a cosigner. I guess my question is, will my credit even matter? thank you.

I think it may be best if you talked to several mortgage brokers or lenders and to see what your options are and whether they factor in your credit worthiness if your parents cosign. Good luck.

cosigning wont help you. Rates, guidelines and approvals are based on the applicant withthe worst credit history.

So is cosigning different on homes than vehicles because I know it helps on vehicles from first hand experience?
