Ch7 discharged in April 2010...my mother in-law has been in talks with us about me being a co-signer on a mortage for my wife and I so we can finally stop renting. Is this even a possibility with me just being discharged? Or do I have to wait at least 2 years per FHA guidelines? I'm wondering if the banks will use mom-in-law's credit and income and only my income and not credit. When I did a 2nd mortgage on our old place, the bank only used my wifes income since here credit was bad. Anyone have experience with this?
