Rented a house!

We just rented out first house since filing for bankruptcy. We moved into a rental house before our credit tanked with the bankruptcy. We wanted to move again and were nervous about the bankruptcy on our credit.
We rented a house that was management by a real estate company. our application was approved 2 days after we submitted it and we weren't asked for an extra deposit!

So it's definitely possible to rent after bankruptcy.

Just wanted to share that.

I have spoken with a couple credit counselors recently. They both said the same thing... Creditors are being forced to change the way they look at BK. Mainly because of the mass of folks (just like us) filing. If there was ever to be a "good" time to file it is now!!

Great news...for you and others.

We've given up trying to negotiate or settle with our second mortgage holder after repeated tries and are going out to look for rentals. Gives us hope!!!!
