Has anyone every had an experience buying a house under a land trust? How did you get financing?

A Land Trust and getting a Mortgage are different things.
You don't actually "buy" the land with the Trust. You will still need to qualify individually to get a mortgage. For individuals, a land trust is mainly used for privacy purposes and to avoid probate. The title/deed of the land is merely placed in the name of the Trust. But the individuals still must be able to get the mortgage.
