I understand what happens your mortgage after Discharge

My Chapter 7 was discharged on 6/2/08 but I don't understand how it works with my mortgage. I have never paid my mortgage late and my lawyer told me that will help with rebuilding my mortgage.

The confusing part to me is the statement on my mortgage that states
"This statement is for informational purposes only and is being provided as a courtesy should you voluntarily decide to make your mortgage payments. This statement should not be construed as an attempt to collect a debt or a demand for payment contrary to any protections you may have received pursuant to your bankruptcy case."

I don't understand what this means

If you did not reaffirm your mortgage, they cannot go after you for money. Same thing happened with me. The way I understand it, if you pay, then they let you stay. My bk was discharged July 2005, and we have stayed in this house just by making payments. By not reaffirming, that helps me now because we cannot make the payments anymore and when they foreclose this summer, it will not show up on my credit report and I will not owe anything.
