I had a similar situation with the can I bought in 2001. It was the year before's model, and I got it basically at the price of a used car with 0 mileage. The dealer had a BS $130 "coupon book" that had to go with the sale (basically, the $130 was for the ad valorem tax that the dealer had to pay.) Since I couldn't find this exact model anywhere else nearby, and was getting a pretty good deal regardless, I just sucked it up and said that I was not getting as good a deal, but still a deal worth getting.
