i would contact the dealer and see if they would do a trade down deal....
or...if you are filing chapter 7...you can surrender the car. sometimes they work with you. it's worth a shot.8/4/2008 MAKE SURE AND VISIT Tobee's Blogs! http://www.bkforum.com/blog.php?32727-tobee43 and all are welcome to bk forum's Florida State Questions and Answers on BK http://www.bkforum.com/group.php?groupid=9

i thought the OP although the forum is "after" discharge didn't have the dates up...yes, you are correct...OP is indeed, in a mess.8/4/2008 MAKE SURE AND VISIT Tobee's Blogs! http://www.bkforum.com/blog.php?32727-tobee43 and all are welcome to bk forum's Florida State Questions and Answers on BK http://www.bkforum.com/group.php?groupid=9

Trading right now is not a good idea, because you are seriously upside down this soon after buying it. The residual isn't very good if the car is American made, but either way I do not think trading right now would be good. They'll take what you owe and tack it onto the new car, even if you can get financed right now.Chapter 7 filed 2/26/2010
