Been searching the threads for a couple hours now - what do you all feel is the best place to get a car loan and how long does it take? I really do NOT want to spend a high amount monthly for a car, but the car I have now is really on it's last legs and FAST. I was discharged over 2 years ago and have a credit score of 650 already. I'm not wanting a pricey car - just something to get me thru the next couple of years then maybe think of something newer. Any ideas? Thanks!

You can try your local bank or Credit Union... if approved, paperwork can take a couple of hours... keep in mind that the total amount financed for the car will have the biggest impact on your monthly payment...
A $10,000 loan will set you back about $200-$250/month... A $20,000 loan will roughly be about $400. Hope that helpsBroke in Paradise

Of course, if you don't have enough money saved up right now to do this, then a car loan may be your only recourse if your current car does fail.I am not a lawyer and this is not legal advice nor a statement of the law - only a lawyer can provide those.
