Discharged! Now need good financing for a car!

Thanks to the good Lord, we FINALLY received our discharge last week!!! We have been struggling for the past 2 years to get a reliable car for our 3 kids. Now with the discharge paper in hand, we are looking to buy an SUV (under my husband's name). His scores are roughly in the 610-630 range and has a good stable income. Does anyone know of a good bank to go with that is post-BK friendly? I mean...literally only a couple of days out of discharge?

    Thx!

Now, having said that, why are you willing to put your head BACK into the DEBT harness? Don't you wish to be free, and live financially free?

There are distressed sales all over the place. Look around your community for good, late model vehicles parked on the side of the road. Today, we passed a nice late model king-cab type truck for about $1500. Then, later, a nice late model coupe--didn't get the model--for $3K.

If you can't afford these right now, save up for it. Get OUT of the habit of using credit to live on. Learn to go cash only.

Of course I have to agree with Mrs. but we are driving (as second car) a 93 ex-police car and cost at auction 800 bucks. We put in 330 and that was four years ago. Runs very well and 24 mpg. Pontiac Grand Am. Suv is dime a dozen, but expensive to run. Don't buy the first you like. When you find about four you like, then you can bargain between them. PLEASE don't do debt. Save up 2K and you can find a purchase. Only my opinion. 'Hub

Capitol One and Chase are BK friendly but your interest rate may be high depending on what you purchase. I agree SUV's are expensive to run. After we were discharged I surrendered my SUV and bought a good used minivan instead. Now I have lots of room and lots of left over money every month.
