Buying a car from a Wholesaler

    Anyone ever do this?
As opposed to purchasing at retail?

I live in the NY/NJ area, and someone told me of a connection. Is this because I am close to a port?

I understand the manuf. warranty is still in effect and I can finance thru a bank.

Let me know what anyone knows/thinks.
Much thanks for all the support and information I receive on this forum.

In the car industry, there really is no such thing as a "wholesaler" that I am aware of, they might be thinking about auto brokers.

Nothing wrong with Auto Brokers, in fact, they can be quite convenient if you know what you want, they will go out and find it. You just have to make sure the broker is reputable.

As far as selling cars, there are.
    1. Franchise dealerships (buy direct from manufacturer).
    2. 2nd Tier Dealerships, used cars only.
    3. Auto Brokers (of various kinds), they can get both new and used cars.
    4. Auction houses (used cars).
    5. Private party to private party (used cars)
